At Hemp Fields Farm, we employ strict water conservation methods. In our zero-energy walipini, or underground greenhouse, our roof drains into our beds, our mulch and planted cover crop retain soil moisture and we carefully utilize a gravity fed watering system.
Water conservation is critical to our sustainable and regenerative cultivation platform. Water conservation methods should be employed by all, however, as water equals life. We do not condone the use of non-organic fertilizers or other pollutants, especially when they’re contaminating fresh water sources. We’d also like to protect natural ecosystems from further damage, as species depend on a clean water supply to exist.
