A Mexican medical marijuana company has been granted permission to import CBD derivatives into the country in order to treat symptoms associated with cancer treatment.
“This is a great opportunity to show the benefits that cannabinoids have as a solution to health conditions that haven’t met any result by traditional medical procedures,” said Carlos Gonzalez, Chief Operating Officer of HempMeds Mexico.
HempMeds is currently the only company allowed to import medical marijuana products into the Mexico. Other patients who want to use CBD treatments must receive approval from their doctor and then obtain an import license from the Federal Commission for the Protection Against Sanitary Risk (COFEPRIS).
